Stevia Sweet Recipes: Sugar Free Naturally
Author Jeff Goettemoeller told us:
"Stevioside and the other glucosides do not nourish yeasts at all. The same 3-carbon-ring central structure of the molecules that makes stevia calorie free also means it cannot nourish yeasts or the bacteria that cause tooth decay. This makes stevia quite useful for the candida diet. Of course, you still must keep in mind the other ingredients of a given recipe."
A great way to use Stevia
Take some crushed stevia leaf powder and clean it. Meaning take out all the stems, and leaf veins you find. Throw them away, as they are no use except to add weight to your purchase. Depending on the company selling you the stevia there may be a lot to throw away.
Now you are ready for a great way to use stevia. Mix 1/8 - 1/4 tea spoon of crushed stevia leaf into a 6 or 8 ounce cup of hot water. Let is cool down to a temperature that is comfortable to drink without burning yourself. Then drink like you would tea. If you are using a high grade of stevia without stems you will get a honey like aftertaste, which is why stevia is sometimes referred to as "honey leaf".
